While the content is meaningful the implementation is worse than awful. The other reviews stated the same thing: printing quality is both cheap and unreadable. The "watermark" produces a migraine-like effect. My guess is that PMI feels their content is more valuable than having readers.
It's printed on a crazy type of anti-copy paper that makes my eyes hurt, regardless quality of the content.
Impossible to read without getting a headache. I read the reviews on the PMBOK guide that mentioned that book is printed on cheap, grey paper but did not realize the same was true for this companion book. It's truly awful. I reached out to PMI to see if there were any plans to print the material on white paper. Their reply was that I should pay to join PMI so I can access their online material. So I am taking that as a "no".
I wish there was an option to enter a negative star. A complete ripoff by PMI.When they have copyright protection for all there material which gives them a right to pursue legal action when violated, how can they make this book almost not readable with the weird paper color and watermarked pages?Whoever came up with this idea has discredited the PMI organization.If they were to do this to their free download for the PMI members from the PMI.org website it is understandable. But to do it to a book being sold in the market - it is totally unacceptable.
I haven’t a clue what PMBOK was thinking when they made these pages gray. I get THE worst eye and head aches when I read the pages. I’m so disappointed in this product!
The book could have been reduced in size with better page layout. There are lists that span pages even though there is ample space to fit on a single page. There are pictures / diagrams that are so far removed from the source text that the two do not appear to be related. Finally, as other have stated, the grey background used as part of the anti copy feature make the book intolerable to read for any length of time.The good - the book, in conjunction with other agile books, was used to pass the PMI-ACP exam.
Preparing to take the PMP exam. This is great if you work in an Agile environment. It is a good overview and study guide for the exam as well.
