Doris Cudlow is a busy lady. She has a story to write about an old ice cream parlor, thefts and 2 murders to investigate. Her landlady continues to provide humor and it seems like the whole town has their noses in Doris's business. Come along and see how Doris goes about solving these mysteries with their twists and turns. The plot is well thought out. The story is well written and flows. Characters are interesting and fleshed out. I didn't want to put the book down. Had to know what happened next!!I voluntarily received a copy of this book and I'm voluntarily posting a review. My opinion is entirely my own.
Doris is a wonderful character. Flawed and down to earth, she has many redeemable traits. This story was really a blast to read, the mystery had lots of twists and more than enough downs to keep Doris busy. But she is a fighter and kept getting up when she was knocked down. You will love the residents of Golden Shores Elderly home. They are so full of life and will keep you laughing at their antics. Anyone have any rotten tomatoes available? This book needs to be on your reading list.
Another great book by Ms. Lewis. Doris is at it again in this second book she has a friend die is it murder of natural causes. Look no further for you next murder mystery. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for a thrilling murder mystery.I received this book free and this is a voluntary review.
I enjoyed the setting, the characters and the plot of this second installment of Skegness.Doris Cudlow is looking for additional employment. Her friend, 89 year old Reggie Porlock dies, naming Doris as his next of kin.What she finds in his boxed items helps to solve his murder.
This is a fun new cozy series! The writing is fresh and skillful. The plot is tight and multi-layered, and there is an unexpected ending. It was an enjoyable read and I’m looking forward to future installments. I received this book free and chose to make a voluntary, unbiased review.

Things are going on at the Golden shores elderly home. Doris Cudlowe arrived to find out that her landlady was right...her friend was dead. WTH happened? Being he had her listed as next of kin, she collected his few possessions. Then she finds out that he was murdered. Then the lady who was going to give her some information turns up dead as well. Doris teams up with Malcom to try to solve the murders and mysteries going on at the home. Boy is this a convoluted mystery. But it does get solved! I wouldn't have guessed who was the murderer, ever! If you want more then you need to read it for yourself like I did. I was an ARC reader and couldn't put it down! Ms. Lewis has an amazing and intricate mind.
This book is the second Doris Cudlow mystery I've read, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It had funny and quirky characters as well as a good plot. I highly recommend it to other cozy mystery readers.
